Provide liquidity

Step-by-step — supply PT + USDC to Spield's market, earn swap fees, and exit whenever you want.

Providing liquidity earns you a share of every swap fee. Thanks to Spield's time-decay market, LPs who hold to maturity face near-zero impermanent loss — see Liquidity for why.

Before you start

You'll need both PT and USDC. If you don't hold PT yet, get some by minting PT + YT or buying PT on the market first.

Add liquidity

Open the Liquidity page

Select Liquidity in the app sidebar.

Enter an amount

Enter how much you want to provide. The app auto-mirrors the matching amount of the other asset at the pool's current ratio — so you add balanced liquidity without moving the price.

Confirm

Approve in your wallet. You receive LP shares representing your slice of the pool.

Earn fees

From the next trade onward, your shares accrue a portion of swap fees. Your claim on the pool grows over time.

Monitor your position

The Liquidity page shows your shares, the PT + USDC they currently redeem for, and the fees earned. Because the pool's composition shifts as people trade, your underlying PT/USDC split will move around — that's normal.

Remove liquidity

Choose how much to withdraw

Use the percentage slider to remove part or all of your position.

Confirm

Approve in your wallet. You receive your proportional PT and USDC back, including accrued fees.

You can always exit

Removing liquidity is never blocked — not at maturity, not during an emergency pause. There's no lock-up.

Tips

  • Hold to maturity for the best result. That's when the near-zero-IL property is strongest, because PT's drift to par is fully priced in.
  • Returns track volume. More trading through the pool means more fees for LPs.
  • Add at the current ratio. The app does this for you; it keeps things fair and avoids price impact.

Impermanent loss isn't fully zero

"Near-zero" applies to PT's predictable march to par when you hold to maturity. Unexpected yield swings can still cause some divergence if you exit early. See risks.
